Football is ‘kicking on’ with the news that French family bakery company Brioche Pasquier is supporting the MK Dons Legends match as the Main Match Sponsor for season 2017/18.

The substantial sponsorship sees the MK-based company benefit from branding and sampling at Stadium MK during home MK Dons league fixtures, where Dons fans can taste the great range of ‘PITCH’ pre-packed brioche, alongside engaging with the wider community via a series of MK Dons Sport and Education Trust (SET) Legends coaching sessions at the indoor training dome, culminating in the Legends match in May 2018.

Marketing Manager, Melissa Bentley from Brioche Pasquier explains why they partnered with MK Dons Legends “We feel that the Legends game is a great concept that brings together fans and players for a day of football that all can enjoy. After the success of last year we saw great potential in the game and saw value in the opportunity to be involved as well as supporting the local football club. We believe that the pairing of a PITCH product at a football game just makes sense and it’s something that all the fans and family can indulge in”.

Events Managed will once again bring together a team of ex-MK Dons players to play opponents to raise money for the SET and are looking to beat their contribution of last year by targeting £10,000 which will help benefit many of the 50,000 people the SET engage with each year. Matt Cove, Managing Director of Events Managed explains “Last year we were very grateful of the support that led to us being able to donate £2000 to the SET, this year we are looking to make that at least £10,000 working with Brioche Pasquier, MK Dons and SET to help make a difference to the local community surrounding Milton Keynes. We look forward to announcing the opponents soon”

Business Development Manager of MK Dons SET, Steff Duffy added her thanks to Brioche Pasquier which comes as the SET celebrate their 10th Birthday this season “It’s fantastic to have support from Brioche Pasquier, we look forward to working with them to bring back the legends match in 2018’’

Andrew Cullen, Executive Director of MK Dons said “We are delighted to welcome the Legends back to Stadium MK and along with so many of our supporters look forward to reliving some great memories again from some of our favourite players from the past”

The recent home match against Southend United saw the first opportunity for fans to sample Pitch and win the opportunity to take part in the first Legends coaching session taking place in December.
